Ajuga, Brown Heart, 5' lavender flower spikes in late spring. -NOT one of the rapid spreaders.
Astrantia, Cream and Pink blooms for a long period in summer, about 18", part shade to shade.
ASTILBE, Chenensis, Spreads slowly to form a mat with `4" spikes in summer. Likes a shady site or part shade.
ASTILBE, Red Fanal, -Great mixed with bright hostas. 18", late spring bloom for mostly shade.
Brunnera, long spring bloomer, likes part to mostly shade, about 15" tall. -Also available Langtrees variety with silver mottles leaves (upper right corner).
Cape Plumbago, These intensely blue flowers in late summer-fall are followed by the foliage blushing red. 8", handles dry shade well with a little am sun.
CORYDALIS, blooms for most of the summer, part shade 14".
Clematis, Sweet Autumn, does well in sun as well as half shade. 6-8', fragrant
CRYSOGANUM, a nice spring bloomer -great for edging, 6" tall for full sun to almost full shade.
Cimicifuga, Brunette, Bronze tinted leaves with late summer 10" spikes of very fragrant flowers. foliage is about 30" and flowers reach 5-6'. Prefers part to mostly shade.
DICENTRA, Gold Heart, about 2' x 3' spring bloomer, foliage stays yellow through season with adequate moisture.
Dicentra, Bleeding Heart, 30", long spring bloomer given plenty of moisture. Foliage will stay if given adequate moisture, otherwise, dicentras are summer dormant.
Geranium, Samobar (in the middle), deep violet with maroon variegation on leaves, blooms in spring, 20", sun or mostly shade.
